Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause during a high-level meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and an international conference co-hosted by Saudi Arabia and France in New York.
Teachings of Holy Prophet (PBUH) highlighted
Addressing the OIC session, Ishaq Dar paid tribute to the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), emphasizing peace, justice, mercy, and tolerance.
He underscored that the Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings align with the principles of the United Nations Charter, noting that historic events such as the Covenant of Medina, the Treaty of Hudaibiyah, and the Conquest of Makkah served as guiding examples for international law and interfaith harmony. He called these historic events a beacon for international relations in today’s era.

International conference on Palestine
Later, Ishaq Dar attended the International Conference on the Implementation of a Peaceful, Dispute Resolution of the Palestinian Issue, jointly hosted by Saudi Arabia and France.

During his remarks, Dar welcomed recent announcements by France, Britain, Australia, Canada, Portugal, and other countries recognizing the State of Palestine. He urged countries that have not yet taken this step to do so in line with international law and justice.
