Tremors were felt across much of Punjab, including Multan, with a recorded magnitude of 4.8 on the Richter scale.
According to the PDMA spokesperson, the earthquake’s epicentre was located 126 kilometres west of Multan, at a depth of 55 kilometres. Administrative teams across Punjab are currently engaged in inspecting buildings.
The Provincial Control Room of PDMA, along with District Emergency Operation Centres throughout the province, remains on high alert. Any reports of damage caused by the earthquake can be shared via the PDMA helpline at 1129.
