Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Abid Sher Ali on Thursday asked the Muslim world to unite as regional threats intensify.
Speaking on Samaa News’ programme "Nadeem Malik Live", he said: "Muslim countries must unite. Pakistan has always presented itself for the protection of Muslim nations and is in no way inferior to others." He said that there is no unity, and Muslim countries have been targeted one after another. He added that Pakistan must play a key role.
Abid Sher Ali said: "The United States gave Israel an opportunity to attack Gaza by naming Hamas." He stated that the European Union unites for collective defence, and expressed the desire that Muslim countries should do the same.
On the other side, the Pakistan Institute for Legislative Development and Transparency (Pildat) head, Ahmed Bilal Mehboob said that Pakistan has not abandoned the teachings of Quaid-e-Azam regarding relations with Israel. He added that Pakistan has not established diplomatic ties with Israel and that the country deserves credit for this position.
He said: "Pakistan should remain prepared for conflict with both India and Israel, warning that both nations may collaborate." He cautioned that Pakistan faces potential threats in the coming days.
