Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha has commended all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz for his remarkable performance that played a key role in dismantling Afghanistan’s batting line-up during the final of the tri-nation series at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
Speaking after the match, Agha said Pakistan are ready for the Asia Cup. He added: "The decision to play two spinners was made after considering the playing conditions." He termed Nawaz’s return as "impressive" and added that the goal was to prepare in a manner that would benefit the team during the Asia Cup.
Agha said that the Green Shirts have been performing well since the home series against Bangladesh.
It is pertinent to note that Pakistan have secured a comprehensive 75-run victory.
On the other side, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi has felicitated the Green Shirts for showing complete domination in the tri-nation series.
Naqvi lavished his praise on Nawaz for bagging a hat-trick and compiling crucial runs for the team with the bat.
