The Pakistan's hockey team will compete in a pre-World Cup qualifying series against Bangladesh.
According to sources within the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), the schedule for the series will be announced shortly. The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has approved the pre-World Cup qualifying series, sources confirmed.
The winning team from the series will advance to the World Cup qualifying round. Pakistan were excluded from direct entry into the World Cup qualifying round after failing to participate in the Asia Cup.
Following a request from the PHF, the FIH placed the matter before its Executive Board, sources said.
