The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said on Sunday that the rain system located near the Gujarat and Rajasthan border in India may affect parts of Sindh, Balochistan and southern Punjab in Pakistan.
The NDMA spokesperson said these rains may continue intermittently until 10 September. There is a likelihood of heavy to very heavy rainfall in the Sulaiman Range and southern Punjab. Some areas in Sindh, Balochistan and southern Punjab face the risk of urban flooding.
Due to torrential rain, flash floods may also occur in the Kirthar Range and the Sulaiman Range. A warning has been issued for possible flooding in streams and rivers in Lasbela and Khuzdar districts of Balochistan.
