Pakistan’s exports fell by 10 percent in August 2025, dropping to 2.41 billion dollars compared to $2.68 billion in July, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
The report said exports also showed a 12.49 percent decline compared to August 2024, when they stood at 2.76 billion dollars.
Meanwhile, the country’s trade deficit widened by 8.81 percent in August, reaching 2.86 billion dollars. Imports during the month surged by 14.23 percent, crossing 11 billion dollars.
For the first two months of the fiscal year (July–August), exports showed a marginal increase of 0.65 percent, standing at 5.10 billion dollars. However, the trade deficit jumped by 29 percent to over 6 billion dollars during the same period.
