Saim Ayub’s blistering 38-ball 69 and Hasan Nawaz’s fiery 26-ball 56 powered Pakistan to a 31-run victory over the United Arab Emirates in the second match of the tri-nation series at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Saturday.
UAE's INNINGS
Chasing a staggering 208-run target, UAE managed to compile 176-8 in 20 overs with solid performances from Asif Khan (77 off 35) and Muhammad Waseem (33 off 18).
UAE off to a fiery start, when Waseem started to flex his muscles. The hosts lost three wickets in the powerplay. Muhammad Zohaib removed on 14-ball 33. Waseem was run out by Mohammad Nawaz and Hasan Ali in a joint efforts. Waseem smashed three boundaries and two towering sixes in his fiery 18-ball 33.
Asif Khan, who once played domestic cricket in Pakistan, really smashed the Pakistan bowlers. Asif smashed six boundaries and six sixes in his 35-ball 77, before he was removed by experienced campaigner Hasan Ali.
Ethan D’Souza (3), Alishan Sharafu (3), Rahul Chopra (11), Dhruv Parashar (15), Saghir Khan (11) failed to show resistance with the bat.
Haider Ali (1), Junaid Siddique (0) remained unbeaten.
For Pakistan, Hasan Ali (3-47) has picked up three wickets.
