Members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday boycotted the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and announced their resignation from all parliamentary committees.
PTI lawmaker Sanaullah Masti Khel, who is also a member of PAC, arrived at the committee room and formally announced the decision before walking out.
Speaking to reporters, Masti Khel said all PTI members, including the party’s representatives in the PAC, had resigned. "Our chairman and members have stepped down from the Public Accounts Committee, and no one from our party will attend its meetings," he said.
When asked whether all PTI members would skip today’s PAC session, Masti Khel responded that some had received the message while others had yet to be informed.
