Former Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke has revealed that he is battling skin cancer once again, urging fans to take regular medical check-ups seriously.
Clarke shared the news on social media platform X, where he posted a heartfelt message about his ongoing struggle.
“Skin cancer is a reality, especially in Australia. I have another cut on my nose,” he wrote, highlighting the seriousness of the condition.
In his message, Clarke emphasized the importance of early detection and medical care. “Friendly advice is to keep getting your skin checked, precaution is better than cure. Regular check-ups and early diagnosis are important in my case,” he said.
Previous skin cancer battle
The 43-year-old cricketer had shown symptoms of skin cancer a few years ago but chose not to disclose the illness publicly at the time. His latest revelation has sparked concern among cricket fans worldwide, many of whom have expressed their support online.
Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer globally, making Clarke’s message particularly significant. Health experts often warn that prolonged exposure to the sun without protection can drastically increase the risk. Clarke’s candid admission is expected to encourage more Australians to prioritize regular skin checks.
