The Airports Security Force (ASF) foiled a major drug smuggling attempt at Faisalabad International Airport, recovering four kilogrammes of liquid ice concealed in honey jars from a Dubai-bound woman passenger.
Ice smuggling attempt intercepted
According to ASF officials, the woman was stopped during the routine security check of her luggage. Upon inspection, security personnel discovered jars of honey filled with liquid ice, weighing around 4kg.
The seized narcotics are estimated to be worth more than Rs60 million in the international market.
Suspect handed over to ANF
After the recovery, the arrested woman was handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) along with the confiscated drugs for further investigation and legal proceedings.
ASF officials said strict security checks are in place at all airports across Pakistan to curb narcotics smuggling and ensure safe travel for passengers.
