Two young sisters died after consuming food at a restaurant on PIA Road, police said Sunday.
According to the family, they had dinner at Rolling Palace restaurant on the night of August 16.
Soon after returning home, the children fell ill. Six-year-old Tahreem died shortly after, while her four-year-old sister Arha passed away during treatment. Their brother’s condition is now reported to be out of danger.
On the orders of DIG Operations Faisal Kamran, police registered a case at Satu Katla Police Station on the complaint of the children’s father, Azeem. The hotel owner and kitchen staff have been arrested, and an investigation is underway.
DIG Kamran said the incident is being investigated from all angles and those responsible will be brought to justice.
