Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a series of high-level meetings during his visit to the United Kingdom, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with Britain.
Dar met UK Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner and reviewed the longstanding Pakistan-UK partnership. Both sides reiterated their resolve to further deepen bilateral cooperation. Dar praised the role of British Pakistanis and invited Rayner to visit Pakistan.
He also met the Commonwealth Secretary-General, congratulating her on her appointment while highlighting Pakistan’s commitment to sustainable development and addressing climate change.
The Secretary-General was also invited to visit Islamabad.
Later, Dar met a delegation of PML-N UK, terming overseas Pakistanis as a national asset. The delegation congratulated him on effective diplomatic efforts and the party’s recent political achievements.
