The National Cybercrime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Sukkur has arrested a TikToker accused of extorting millions of rupees from a woman by blackmailing her with an explicit video.
The dramatic arrest took place during an operation on University Road, Karachi, and footage of the incident is now circulating on social media.
Suspect demanded more after taking Rs4.4m
According to an NCCIA spokesperson, the suspect, identified as Junaid, allegedly extracted Rs4.4 million from the victim and later demanded an additional Rs7.7 million. The extortion case was registered in Sukkur under charges of honey trap and blackmail following which the agency moved to arrest the suspect.
Resistance during arrest injures officer
When the NCCIA team attempted to apprehend the suspect, he reportedly resisted arrest, injuring one officer in the process. The clash was caught on video, adding to public attention on the case.
Suspect shifted to Sukkur for investigation
After completing the formalities, the NCCIA team transported the suspect to Sukkur for further investigation. Authorities say they are determined to crack down on online blackmail, honey traps, and other forms of cyber exploitation.
