Samaa TV celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day with a grand and heartfelt ceremony at its head office in Lahore, bringing together leadership, anchors, and staff for prayers, speeches, and a symbolic cake-cutting.
Patriotic spirit fills Samaa TV headquarters
The event began with special prayers for the security, unity, and development of Pakistan. The ceremony reflected both the pride of freedom and the resolve to protect and strengthen it for future generations.
Samaa TV CEO Junaid Amin, Director News Tariq Mahmood, senior anchors Iftikhar Ahmed and Ayesha Bakhsh, CFO Rehan Liaquat, Creative Head Haris Iqbal, Digital Head Dr Asim Siddique, Corporate Affairs Director Shyma Amjad, and staff from all departments joined the celebrations.
Freedom as sacred trust
Speaking on the occasion, CEO Junaid Amin called freedom “a priceless gift of Allah Almighty” and reminded everyone of their duty to protect it. “It is the responsibility of the entire nation to handle this blessing responsibly,” he said.
Samaa TV Director News Tariq Mahmood stressed national unity over ethnic divisions.
“We are Pakistanis first, then Pakhtuns, Baloch, Punjabis and Sindhis. Without Pakistan, we are nothing,” he remarked, adding that collective effort was the key to fulfilling Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s dream of a welfare state.
