Pakistan’s Charge d’Affaires Saad Ahmad Warraich stated that Pakistan retains the ability to respond effectively to any external threat or aggression, and that in a war initiated for dominance, the aggressor found itself defeated.
According to details, a dignified flag-hoisting ceremony was held at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi to mark the 78th Independence Day of Pakistan.Warraich, hoisted the national flag. Officers of the High Commission, staff members and their families attended the event.
Messages from the president, prime minister, deputy prime minister of Pakistan were read aloud on the occasion.

In his address, Warraich stated that under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the Muslims of the Indian Subcontinent altered the course of history in pursuit of an independent homeland. He said that Pakistan represents the culmination of a long and historic struggle for the right to self-determination.
Warraich termed independence as a great blessing and a divine gift, which must always be defended.
He added that the path to freedom was paved with the blood of martyrs and affirmed that Pakistan possesses full capability to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
