The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has reversed its earlier decision to suspend gas supply in several areas of District West, Karachi, on August 14, ensuring uninterrupted service for consumers during Independence Day celebrations.
Shutdown plan postponed
Earlier on Tuesday, SSGC had announced a 14-hour gas suspension scheduled for Thursday, August 14, 2025, to facilitate a pipeline relocation project requested by the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB).
However, considering the public holiday and the potential inconvenience to residents, the company decided to postpone the maintenance work to a later date.
