Pakistan national cricket team Mohammad Rizwan has expressed firm resolve to secure victory in the upcoming One-Day International (ODI) series against the West Indies.
In a video statement, Rizwan said that the team had completed intensive practice sessions over the past two days and that preparations had been excellent.
He affirmed the team's objective to claim the ODI series and referenced Pakistan’s recent 2–1 T20I series win over the West Indies, adding that the result had built positive momentum, which he hoped would prove beneficial in the ODI fixtures.
The Pakistan captain praised the team's bowling unit, acknowledging Sufyan Muqeem’s strong performance during the T20I series and labelling the mystery spinner, Abrar Ahmed as a "key asset".

He added that Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Hasan Ali and Faheem Ashraf would play pivotal roles in the bowling attack during the series.
Rizwan acknowledged that Fakhar Zaman’s absence from the series was a setback but described it as a “golden” opportunity for younger players to prove themselves. He also commended Hasan Nawaz, who, he said, had consistently performed well over the past year.
The three-match ODI series between Pakistan and the West Indies is scheduled to begin on August 8 in Trinidad and Tobago. The second and third matches will take place on August 10 and 12, respectively.
