A fire that broke out in the basement of S-1 Block at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) House in Islamabad has been brought under control, according to rescue authorities.
Sources divulged on Thursday, the fire was likely caused by an electrical short circuit. Fire brigade and rescue teams responded promptly, successfully extinguishing the blaze and securing the area. According to rescue sources, the fire originated in the basement of the S-1 Block, which is designated for guests.
Upon receiving the alert, emergency teams arrived on the scene without delay. The affected block was evacuated as a precautionary measure while firefighting operations were carried out.
Police stated that the S-1 Block is used for accommodating visitors to KP House.
Fortunately, no casualties have been reported, and the building has been safeguarded from further damage.
