KARACHI – A tragic incident unfolded at Karachi’s Do Darya coastline where a man jumped into the sea along with two children on Thursday evening, eyewitnesses and police confirmed.
According to initial reports, the man, believed to be around 40 years old, first threw the children—aged between six and seven—into the water before jumping in himself. Rescue officials launched an immediate search operation, but efforts were suspended after seven hours due to darkness.
Police said the identities of the victims have not yet been confirmed. Sindh Chief Minister has taken notice of the incident and directed the district administration and police to expedite rescue efforts and conduct a thorough investigation.
The search operation is expected to resume after Fajr prayers on Friday.
