In a major development in the case of three brothers with Italian nationality who were murdered in the Palosi area of Nowshera, police have arrested their paternal uncle and two cousins.
The suspects were found to be involved in the killings, which were reportedly linked to a property dispute.
According to police, the three brothers were shot dead a few days ago within the jurisdiction of Azakhel Police Station. The victims had returned to Pakistan from Italy to attend their brother's wedding.
Initial investigations revealed that a longstanding dispute over family property escalated, prompting the victims' uncle and cousins to open fire in a fit of rage, resulting in the tragic deaths. The suspects fled the scene following the incident.
Police launched an operation and managed to arrest two of the suspects while they were attempting to shift household items in the cover of darkness. The murder weapon was also recovered during the arrest. Raids are ongoing to apprehend the third suspect.
