The federal government has decided to roll out the cash award policy for the national players in a bid to end the discrimination.
According to details, adviser to the prime minister, Rana Sanaullah has assigned the task force to make uniform award policy for the sportsperson. All the award packages for the national players will be decided on the basis of transparency and permanency. The government has distribute the uniform awards to the winners of the Olympics, World Games, Asian Games and International Championships.
None of the government personalities can distribute money to any of the sportspersons from the national exchequer. The government has only allowed the distribution of any award to any of the sportspersons only on private expenses.
Sources divulged that the new policy would end the sense of deprivation from the players.
The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) would send the draft of the new policy soon to the premier for its approval.
