The planned visit of Iranian President Dr Masoud Pezeshkian to Pakistan, originally scheduled for this week, has been postponed, according to diplomatic sources.
Officials from both countries confirmed that discussions are currently underway to finalize new dates for the high-level visit.
The Foreign Office stated that it remains in close contact with its Iranian counterparts to reschedule the visit. An official announcement regarding the revised itinerary is expected in the coming days.
Meanwhile, in a separate development, the Iranian president made strong remarks during his recent address at Iran’s Foreign Ministry in Tehran, with a sharp focus on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
“I can't bear the situation in Gaza,” said President Pezeshkian, adding, “Where are the European countries that talk about human rights? What are the so-called champions of human rights doing for Gaza?”
He also praised the unity of the Iranian people during what he referred to as the “12-day war” against Israel, saying, “The Iranian nation has set a great example of unity and consensus. No power in the world can defeat a united Iranian nation.”
