A show-cause notice was issued to doctor for using phone at the emergency ward of the Mayo Hospital in Lahore.
According to details, Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique has visited the OPD, pharmacy, and other departments of the Mayo Hospital, where he urged the need for improving the management system of the hospital.
The minister directed the hospital administration to improve the token number system and install more seats for ensuring the comfort of the patients.

Rafique has also urged the need for repairing the air conditioners of the hospital. "We are making all-out efforts to provide comfort to the patients at the hospital," he said.
It is pertinent to note the Punjab government has barred the use of mobile phones by the hospital staff during the duty hours in the public sector.
Meanwhile, the government has also decided to make pager systems mandatory in all the public sector hospitals.
