PAKISTAN'S INNINGS
Sahibzada Farhan’s scintillating 41-ball 63 and Hasan Nawaz’s fiery 17-ball 33 powered Pakistan to 178-7 against Bangladesh in the third match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Thursday.
After being put into bat first, the Green Shirts have taken the field with different mindset after Farhan got his first opportunity in the series, and treated the bowlers with the utter contempt. Saim Ayub, who had a terrible run in the series, was once again struggling early on.
But seeing Farhan creaming the Bangladesh bowlers on the other end, Ayub tried to shift his gears and started to taking on the Bangladesh bowlers before he was removed by Nasum. Ayub departed on 15-ball 21, lacing with two boundaries and one six.
Following the departure of Ayub, Farhan got out by the same bowler, Nasum. But, Farhan provided the other batters with solid platform to further extend the Pakistan’s total in the dead rubber.
Farhan clubbed six boundaries and five towering sixes.
Mohammad Haris came to bat at number three, but he could not managed to put pressure on the Bangladeshi bowling attack and perished cheaply on 14-ball 5.
Hasan Nawaz has played an aggressive knock, scoring 17-ball 33, studding with one boundary and three sixes, before he was perplexed by Shoriful Islam.
Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha, though remained unbeaten, but could not show significant resistance, scoring 9-ball 12.
Hussain Talat, who got the opportunity for the first time in the T20I series, could merely score 4-ball 1 as Saifuddin took his scalp.
Mohammad Nawaz has accelerated the Pakistan’s innings at the death, with his 16-ball 27, whacking two boundaries and two towering sixes. But Bangladesh frontline bowler Taskin Ahmed picked up the wicket of Nawaz.
Faheem Ashraf picked up a boundary on his first delivery, but got out on the next delivery off Taskin as Mehidy Hsan Miraz picked up a terrific grab to ensure his dismissal.
Abbas Afridi remained unbeaten on 3-ball 1.
