A troubling case of alleged abduction involving three individuals from Sahiwal has surfaced, with the victims reportedly lured to Thailand by a woman and then transported to Burma by kidnappers, family sources claimed on Wednesday.
According to the families, the three young men — identified as Usman Amin, Muhammad Ahmed, and Tajamul Shahzad — departed from Lahore to Bangkok on May 26 via Thai Airways Flight TG 346. One of the abducted individuals was reportedly in regular contact with a girl, believed to be of Indian origin, through phone conversations.
The families further alleged that this communication may have been part of a "honey trap", as the woman had even sent airline tickets to the boys via her mobile phone. Once the trio arrived in Thailand, they were allegedly taken across the border to Myanmar under suspicious circumstances.
Shockingly, the families received a phone call from the kidnappers, who informed them about the abduction and demanded a ransom of Rs10 million for the safe release of the victims.
Unverified reports suggest that the victims were possibly trafficked under the guise of a social or romantic connection.
