Police have now obtained details of the bank account of deceased model and actress Humaira Asghar, marking significant progress in the investigation into her mysterious death.
The fresh details reveal that the deceased was not facing financial difficulties at the time of her death.
According to investigative sources, over Rs398,000 were found in Humaira's current account, which was maintained at a private bank. The account activity showed regular ATM withdrawals, typically in amounts of Rs25,000 to Rs50,000, indicating financial stability.
Sources familiar with the investigation told the media that the transaction history contradicts the assumption that Humaira might have been under financial stress — a possible motive that had been considered in the early stages of the probe.
Meanwhile, investigators have confirmed that no cash or jewellery was found at Humaira’s residence, raising concerns of possible theft or foul play. This angle has now been formally included as part of the ongoing investigation.
Police are continuing to collect forensic evidence and review CCTV footage from the area to piece together the final hours of the actress’s life. Humaira Asghar, who had been missing from the public eye for some time, was found deceased and decomposed in her apartment earlier this month, triggering shock and speculation across social media.

Law enforcement officials say they are keeping all possibilities open, and more details are expected to emerge as digital and forensic data is further analysed.
Earlier, as part of the investigations, Humaira's mobile phone was handed over to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) for forensic analysis. According to officials, CTD experts will examine the phone's privacy locks and extract further details.
Investigators revealed that Humaira was last seen leaving her home on September 28. She visited Clifton around 1pm and returned by 2pm, after which she was not seen exiting her residence.
Officials had earlier claimed that Humaira was suffering from severe financial troubles and was distressed due to lack of work opportunities. Analysis of her text messages showed repeated pleas for work or job referrals, but many recipients did not take her concerns seriously.
Authorities are also investigating why no odour was detected from her body for a long time. It was noted that in November, residents of the building's second floor complained to the watchman about a foul smell coming from her apartment. However, when the building owners checked, they did not notice any odour and the matter was dismissed. Officials believe the delay in noticing the smell caused it to weaken over time.
Further, officials stated that Humaira was reportedly washing clothes when the fatal incident occurred. She is believed to have exited the bathroom for some purpose, collided with something, and fell. No food items were found in the kitchen, and although a food delivery app was present on her phone, it was not functional.
Investigators also mentioned that Humaira's bank details are expected to be received today, which may provide additional insights into her financial condition and recent activities.
