Young men and women have begun attending gyms to avoid heart conditions and other illnesses.
Their renewed interest in physical fitness reflects growing health awareness. Many have enrolled in cardiovascular workouts, strength training and mixed martial arts sessions.
Trainers and gym owners said that avoiding disease requires more than exercise. They emphasised the need to avoid rich and unhealthy food as part of a broader lifestyle change. Coach Bilal Khan and owner Umar Ahmed both have urged the need to adopt dietary discipline alongside physical activity.
Though it may be difficult to forgo indulgent food, the saying still holds true: if health is lost, everything is lost. For a healthy life, sacrifice remains essential.
