Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan addressed the media outside Parliament on Thursday, commenting on Pakistan's regional diplomacy, U.S. relations, and party policies.
He stated that PTI will respond accordingly once clear details emerge regarding the direction of Pakistan-U.S. relations. “We will comment once there is clarity on how ties are progressing,” he said.
Barrister Gohar praised former U.S. President Donald Trump’s role in de-escalating tensions between Pakistan and India, calling it “significant and timely.” He added, “When two nuclear powers face off and there’s no mediator, the situation can become extremely dangerous.”
Highlighting Pakistan’s response in past confrontations with India, he remarked, “India’s arrogance was shattered during the war, and Pakistan’s firm response will be remembered.”
Gohar also emphasized China’s role as a key strategic partner, describing the relationship as “unbreakable and enduring.”
On domestic politics, Barrister Gohar reiterated PTI’s stance that all legal remedies must be sought through the courts. “We’ve said it before — whatever PTI has to gain, it will be through the judiciary,” he stated.
He made it clear that the party will not approach any foreign government to seek the release of its founding chairman, Imran Khan. “We will not request any foreign country for the founder’s release,” he concluded.
