The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested an agent who was allegedly involved in human smuggling and visa fraud.
According to details, the accused, identified as Naveed, was apprehended in Sheikhupura. He allegedly extorted money from citizens by promising to secure employment opportunities for them abroad.
Naveed is reported to have defrauded one individual of Rs1.2 million by falsely claiming he could facilitate travel to Greece.

Separately, last month, the FIA Immigration Unit at Multan Airport foiled an attempt by a passenger to travel abroad using a fake iqama.
According to an FIA spokesperson, the passenger, Muhammad Muzammil, was scheduled to travel to Sharjah on flight PA-812. During immigration checks, officials found the iqama he presented to be fake and bogus.
The passenger also failed to provide valid protector documentation required for overseas employment.
He was immediately offloaded and handed over to the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for further investigation.
