Former U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that it remains unclear whether Iran still maintains a nuclear program following recent Israeli airstrikes. In an interview with Reuters, Trump revealed that the U.S. was fully aware of the Israeli operation against Iran.
“I tried to save Iran from humiliation and destruction,” Trump said, adding that he is not concerned about a regional war breaking out in the Middle East.
The former president emphasized that it’s not too late for Iran to make a deal. He also confirmed that U.S. officials were still scheduled to meet with Iranian counterparts on Sunday, although he expressed uncertainty about whether the meeting would actually take place.
Trump's remarks come amid escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, raising concerns over a broader conflict in the region.
