Lahore was expected to experience extreme heat on the third day of Eid-ul-Azha, with the Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasting temperatures as high as 46°C on Sunday.
The current temperature in the city has been recorded at 38°C. Authorities have warned that the intense heat is likely to persist over the next five days.
Medical experts have advised residents to avoid going outdoors during peak afternoon hours and to take necessary precautions to prevent heat-related illnesses.
According to the Met Office, there is no chance of rain in Lahore for the next ten days.
