Justice Mansoor Ali Shah has taken the oath as the acting Chief Justice of Pakistan on Saturday.
According to details, the oath was administered by Justice Ayesha Malik at the Supreme Court's Lahore Registry.
The ceremony was attended by Justice Shahid Waheed, Justice Aamer Farooq, Justice Shahid Bilal and Justice Ali Baqar Najafi. Punjab Advocate General Amjad Pervez, along with several senior lawyers, was also present.
It is worth noting that Chief Justice Yahya Khan Afridi is currently performing Hajj and is expected to return to Pakistan on June 10. Justice Mansoor Ali Shah will serve as acting CJP until that date.
