The security forces successfully neutralized two terrorists affiliated with the India-backed group Fitna-ul-Hindustan during a targeted intelligence-based operation in the Kolpur area of Kachhi district, Balochistan, the military’s media wing ISPR confirmed on Friday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched following a credible intelligence tip-off about the presence of terrorists in the region. During the encounter, the security forces eliminated two terrorists and recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from their possession.
The ISPR stated that the killed terrorists were involved in several Indian-sponsored attacks aimed at destabilizing peace in Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan. “Sanitization operations are currently underway to eliminate any remaining threats in the area,” the ISPR added, reaffirming the military's resolve to eradicate terrorism, especially those orchestrated from across the border.
The forces also reiterated their unwavering resolve to bring perpetrators of terrorism to justice.
In response to the operation, national leadership expressed appreciation for the swift and effective action by the armed forces. President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi lauded the professionalism and dedication of the security forces.
President Zardari praised the bravery and professionalism of Pakistan's security forces for successfully eliminating terrorists associated with the Indian proxy network Fitna-ul-Hindustan.
Commending the intelligence-based operation in Balochistan, the president said that such actions reflect the unwavering commitment of the armed forces to defend the nation and eradicate terrorism from its soil.
"The operations against terrorists will continue until their complete elimination," President Zardari stated. "Pakistan’s security forces are effectively dismantling Fitna-ul-Hindustan, and the national resolve to defeat terrorist elements and safeguard the country’s sovereignty remains firm and unshakable."
“The government and security forces are unwavering in their commitment to eliminate terrorism from Pakistan,” said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in a statement. “Terrorists will have to pay a heavy price for harming the lives and property of innocent citizens.”
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also paid tribute to the security forces for their successful operation in Balochistan. He saluted the troops for killing the terrorists affiliated with Fitna-ul-Hindustan, describing their efforts as heroic. “Security forces in Balochistan are courageously eliminating the terrorists of Fitna-ul-Hindustan,” said Naqvi.
“The entire nation stands proud of its security forces. These operations will continue relentlessly until Fitna-ul-Hindustan is completely wiped out,” he added.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti also commended the operation, describing it as a "timely and commendable" action that has exposed the network of Fitna-ul-Hindustan, an Indian proxy operating in the province.
“Terrorists acting on Indian orders have been sent to hell,” Bugti declared. “The determination and sacrifices of our security forces are a source of national pride. Those who attempt to disrupt the peace in Balochistan will be brought to justice.”
He further emphasized that the state of Pakistan will leave no stone unturned in its pursuit of peace and security. “The enemy’s evil designs will never succeed in Balochistan.”
