The Punjab government has banned the installation of temporary mechanical rides across the province during Eid-ul-Azha to ensure public safety, according to an official notification issued by the Home Department.
The notification states that only permanently installed mechanical rides in amusement parks will be allowed to operate, and they must obtain a valid fitness certificate.
Owners and operators of such rides are required to seek certification from the respective Deputy Commissioners, who will verify that all safety standards are being met.
The move comes amid growing concerns over ride-related accidents. The provincial government emphasized that the ban has been imposed to protect human lives, and all district administrations have been directed to enforce the order strictly.
Home Department has issued instructions to all Deputy Commissioners in Punjab to implement the directive immediately.
