Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held in-depth consultations with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing on Monday, according to Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson’s statement shared on X (formerly Twitter).
“Both sides exchanged views on the evolving situation in South Asia, the future trajectory of Pakistan-China friendship, and CPEC 2.0,” MOFA spokesperson said in his post.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed bilateral relations and regional developments in detail, with particular focus on the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Both sides hailed the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership and the ironclad friendship between Pakistan and China. They expressed satisfaction over the strong alignment of views on all matters of mutual interest.
Dar and Wang reaffirmed their firm commitment to continue bilateral cooperation aimed at promoting regional peace, development, and stability.
