The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast an intense heat wave across the country in the coming days. According to the department, a high-pressure system will affect most parts of the country starting tomorrow.
Between May 15-20, temperatures are expected to significantly increase in Sindh, Southern Punjab, and Balochistan regions. The southern areas may experience temperatures 4 to 6 degrees above normal levels, the weather department warned.
Similarly, Central and Upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad will also face higher than normal temperatures. In these upper regions, temperatures could rise 5 to 7 degrees above normal, according to the meteorological forecast.
Authorities advise residents to take necessary precautions during this period of extreme heat.
