Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi resolved on Sunday to increase cooperation with Oman in curbing narcotics and human smuggling.
According to details, during a meeting with Oman’s Interior Secretary Khalid bin Hilal bin Saud, bilateral matters remained the focus of the discussions. The secretary extended heartfelt greetings by stating, “We welcome you to Oman from the depths of our hearts.”
On this occasion, Naqvi said: “We want to strengthen collaboration with Oman in matters concerning narcotics control and human trafficking.”
Naqvi also scheduled meetings with other high-level officials of the Omani government, with whom he planned to brief them on the current regional situation and present Pakistan’s stance in that context.
Earlier today, Naqvi arrived in Muscat, Oman, on a one-day official visit on Sunday, where he received a warm welcome from senior officials of Oman’s Interior Ministry and Pakistan’s ambassador in the country.
At Muscat Airport, high-ranking officials of Oman’s Interior Ministry, including Interior Secretary Khalid bin Hilal bin Saud al Busaidi, welcomed Minister Naqvi. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Oman, Syed Naveed Safdar Bukhari, alongside other dignitaries, also received the federal minister upon his arrival.
