The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a new selection committee following the dismissal of Wahab Riaz and Abdul Razzaq.
The new selection committee includes a quorum of four members who can vote and five other members who do not vote.
Among the voting members are former captain Mohammad Yousuf and Asad Shafiq; along with current captain and head coach. The non-voting members consist of Azhar Mahmood, Bilal Afzal, Hasan Cheema, Nadeem Khan, and Usman Wahla.
The PCB also formed a women’s selection committee apart from the men’s one. This committee comprises four individuals namely Asad Shafiq, Batool Fatima–the women’s team captain as well as head coach.
PCB’s move to restructure the selection committees is primarily motivated by the objective of bringing in new views and hence enhancing team performance during the upcoming cricketing season.
