Punjab Transport Minister Bilal Akbar said 20,000 students will get gift of bikes on July 10 from the Punjab government.
He said as per the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, women have been given priority in the bikes scheme.
The 10th meeting of the steering committee under the chairmanship of Transport Minister Punjab Bilal Akbar Khan was held where Transport Secretary Ahmed Javed Qazi briefed the meeting participants about the progress of the bike supply scheme.
It was told that students are being contacted through email, SMS, and telephone calls.
Transport Minister has also started work to include working women in the bike supply scheme.
