The government has reduced the prices of petrol and diesel for Friday, August 7, under the daily petroleum price adjustment formula.
The price of petrol has been cut by Rs3.19 per litre, bringing its new price to Rs329.82 per litre. The price of diesel has been reduced by Rs1.50 per litre, with its new price set at Rs382.36 per litre.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has issued a notification on Thursday, and the revised prices will come into effect from August 7.
Diesel levy increased by Rs1.21 per litre
The levy on diesel has been increased by Rs1.21 per litre, raising it from Rs72.26 to Rs73.47 per litre.
The petrol levy has remained unchanged at Rs80 per litre.
