Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has responded to US President Donald Trump's remarks at the NATO Summit in Ankara, saying Iran does "not answer vulgarity with vulgarity, but with action," as tensions between Tehran and Washington continue to escalate.
In a post on X, Araghchi said Iranians respond to threats "fearlessly and with great valor" rather than engaging in inflammatory rhetoric.

Iranians are known for their civility, culture, and strong moral values. We do not answer vulgarity with vulgarity, but with action: fearlessly and with great valor.
His remarks came after Trump issued fresh warnings against Iran during the NATO summit and suggested the United States could take control of Kharg Island, a critical hub for Iran's oil exports.
Iran issues fresh warning
Iranian officials sharply escalated their response following Trump's comments.
Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the Iranian parliament's Foreign Policy and National Security Committee, warned that "not even a single American soldier will return alive" if the United States launched an attack on Iran.
"Come on, we're waiting for you," Rezaei wrote on X.
US policy 'has failed': Deputy FM
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said Trump's latest threats reflected the failure of Washington's long-standing policy towards Tehran.
He argued that years of sanctions, military pressure and threats had failed to achieve US objectives, adding that Trump "apparently understands the language of force better."
Iran accuses US of violating MoU
Separately, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei accused Washington of violating the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) through unilateral actions and military strikes against Iran.
Baqaei said the agreement was based on reciprocal commitments rather than trust and claimed the United States had undermined the framework by disregarding provisions concerning Iran's role in ensuring freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
He added that Iran would continue defending its sovereignty and national interests despite growing regional tensions.
