The decision was made at a high-level meeting chaired by Immigration and Passports Director General Muhammad Ali Randhawa, which reviewed measures to streamline passport delivery for Pakistanis living abroad.
Participants agreed to finalize the procedure for delivering passports directly to applicants' homes as part of efforts to improve public services for the country's overseas community.
The meeting also decided to strengthen coordination among relevant institutions to facilitate the delivery process and enhance convenience for applicants.
Officials were directed to expedite practical measures to ensure the timely and secure delivery of passports to overseas Pakistanis.
Pakistan has been expanding digital and consular services for its overseas citizens, who are a key source of remittances for the country's economy.
