A delegation of around 20 faculty members from the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology visited the Space Research and Development Centre, SUPARCO Lahore, to explore academic and research collaboration.
The delegation included assistant professors, associate professors and professors from diverse computing disciplines.
The delegation expressed sincere gratitude to the SUPARCO team for its warm hospitality and insightful overview of Pakistan’s progress in satellite technology, space research and indigenous innovation.
The visit provided faculty members with a closer look at national advancements in space science and technology.
New areas of collaboration discussed
The visit opened exciting avenues for collaboration in final year projects, joint research, internships and emerging technologies.
The key areas discussed included Agentic AI, Large Language Models, Computer Vision, Cybersecurity and Automation.

Officials said such cooperation can contribute to Pakistan’s technological growth and strengthen local innovation capacity.
