These remarks were made during a delegation-level meeting between PM Shehbaz and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. PM Shehbaz said that the matter is not on the agenda, and no discussion has taken place in this regard, adding that Iran’s missile programme has never been part of any negotiations.
PM Shehbaz noted that there are many across the world who seek to sabotage the peace deal. He added that Iran and Pakistan have become brothers for ever.
The premier has expressed gratitude to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian for accepting his invitation to visit Pakistan.

He also extended a renewed welcome to the Iranian President, addressing him as his brother during the exchange. The remarks were made during a delegation-level meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Iranian President.
Initial discussions were also held during the meeting between the two sides.
PM Shehbaz has expressed gratitude to Iran for its trust in Pakistan’s mediation efforts. He stated that relations between the two countries stand as a strong example of close brotherhood.
He said that Pakistan will continue to play an important role for peace and prosperity in the region.
The prime minister welcomed President Pezeshkian once again on his visit to Pakistan. He thanked him for accepting the invitation to visit Islamabad.
He expressed satisfaction over the signing of memorandums of understanding during the Islamabad visit. He said that the MoUs and the ceasefire understanding were signed with dignity and respect.
The prime minister also conveyed good wishes for Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He added that both sides had come together for a brighter and more hopeful future.
Iran president-PM Shehbaz meeting at Prime Minister’s House, says PMO
At the Prime Minister’s House, the Iran president held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, according to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
A statement issued by the PMO stated that Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar were present.

CDF reaffirms Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace
Field Marshal Asim Munir met Iranian President Dr Masoud Pezeshkian, where both sides discussed regional development and initiatives aimed at promoting peace.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), President Pezeshkian commended Pakistan’s role in dialogue, de-escalation and regional stability. He also appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to resolve disputes and promote understanding among regional stakeholders.

Iran's President Pezeshkian meets President Zardari in Islamabad
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad along with a high-level delegation, where he was received by President Asif Ali Zardari.
First Lady Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi were also present.
President Pezeshkian later held talks with President Zardari. The meeting focused on bilateral relations, regional peace and security, economic cooperation and other matters of mutual interest.
The Iranian delegation included the foreign minister, interior minister, senior officials and Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri.
Visit shows support in good times and bad: President Zardari
President Zardari said the visit reflected the desire of both countries to stand by each other in times of ease and difficulty.
He congratulated President Pezeshkian on the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and expressed hope that ongoing technical-level negotiations would contribute to lasting peace in the region.
President Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for peace and stability, national unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity in Iran.

He said Pakistan had consistently opposed unilateral actions and supported dialogue and diplomacy as the path towards sustainable and lasting solutions to regional and global challenges.
The president also stressed the importance of maintaining strong brotherly relations with the Gulf states and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to safeguarding the unity of the Muslim Ummah.
President Zardari once again expressed condolences on the martyrdom of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and said a Pakistani delegation would attend the funeral and burial ceremonies of the late Iranian Supreme Leader.
President Pezeshkian thanked Pakistan for its positive and constructive efforts in support of peace and dialogue and appreciated Islamabad’s support for Iran during recent difficult circumstances.
He said Iran attached great importance to its relations with Pakistan and sought to further expand cooperation in political, economic, security and regional affairs.
