ABAD Senior Vice Chairman Syed Afzal Hameed welcomed on Saturday the federal budget measures for the construction sector, saying the government had provided relief to the industry after several years.
He said the two per cent reduction in transaction costs was insufficient and added that more cut would encourage greater investment in the construction sector.
Hameed said additional reductions could have attracted more overseas investment and encouraged capital held abroad to return to Pakistan.
He said an opportunity to promote white money in the real estate sector had been missed.
Hameed added that the growth of the construction sector would benefit the national economy.
