Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has stressed the importance of dialogue and restraint to reduce regional tensions during separate telephone conversations with his Turkish and Egyptian counterparts.
Dar spoke with Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Thursday, during which the two leaders discussed the rapidly evolving regional situation.
Both sides underscored the importance of dialogue and restraint and expressed hope for an early understanding among all parties that would contribute to lasting peace and stability in the region.
According to a statement issued by the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, the two leaders agreed to maintain close coordination on regional and international issues of mutual interest and to continue high-level engagements to further strengthen the multifaceted Pakistan–Türkiye partnership.
In a separate telephone conversation, Dar spoke with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty.
The two foreign ministers discussed regional developments and stressed the importance of continued dialogue and diplomatic engagement.
Abdelatty appreciated Pakistan’s ongoing mediation efforts, while both leaders expressed hope that current diplomatic efforts would lead to an early understanding between the parties and support lasting regional peace and stability.
The Egyptian foreign minister also invited Dar to attend the forthcoming meeting of the Regional Four (R-4) foreign ministers in Egypt later this month. Dar accepted the invitation.
Both sides agreed to remain in close contact and continue consultations on matters of mutual interest.
