Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has warned that any violation of the ceasefire agreement between Iran and the United States will be treated as a violation across all fronts, including Lebanon and other regional theatres.
In a post shared on the social media platform X, Araghchi stressed that the ceasefire must be understood as a “comprehensive” arrangement covering all areas of conflict.
‘Comprehensive ceasefire’ across all fronts
Araghchi wrote that the Iran–US ceasefire is “without any ambiguity” a broad agreement that applies to all fronts, including Lebanon.
He warned that any breach in one area would automatically be considered a violation of the entire agreement.
He also said that the United States and Israel would bear responsibility for any consequences arising from violations of the truce.
According to the report, tensions escalated after a major military confrontation involving the United States and Israel, which lasted around 40 days and resulted in heavy casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure.
Iran responded with what it called “Operation True Promise 4,” targeting Israeli positions and US bases in the region.
A temporary ceasefire agreement was later reached on April 8 of last year between the parties.
