The government has revised the petroleum levy rates on fuel products.
The levy on high-speed diesel was raised by Rs10.93 per litre, taking the rate to Rs68.93 per litre, sources said. Sources said the petroleum levy on petrol was reduced by Rs10.83 per litre.
Moreover, the levy on petrol was cut from Rs102.17 to Rs91.34 per litre, according to sources. The levy rate on kerosene oil remained unchanged at Rs20.36 per litre, sources added.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced on Friday a reduction of Rs22 per litre in the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel each. The new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs381.78 per litre. High-speed diesel has been set at Rs380.78 per litre after the latest revision.
