US President Donald Trump has called on Iran to immediately hand over its enriched uranium or destroy it under supervision, placing Tehran’s nuclear material at the center of renewed diplomatic pressure.
In a message on Truth Social, Trump said Iran’s enriched uranium should be “immediately” turned over to the United States. He said the material would then be brought to the US and destroyed.
Trump referred to the enriched uranium as “Nuclear Dust” in his statement. Trump also said the uranium could preferably be destroyed in cooperation and coordination with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to his message, the destruction could take place “in place” or at another acceptable location. He said this process should happen on behalf of Iran or with Iran’s involvement.
Atomic Energy Commission should witness process
Trump said the Atomic Energy Commission, or an equivalent body, should witness the process and event. He added that any destruction of enriched uranium should take place with proper oversight.

“Thank you for your attention to this matter,” Trump wrote at the end of his message, signing it as president.
Central to US-Iran tensions
Trump’s statement comes as enriched uranium remains one of the most sensitive issues in US-Iran diplomacy.
His message signals that Washington wants Iran’s nuclear material either removed, destroyed in place, or eliminated at another mutually acceptable location under international observation.
